How to...:Revert a page

Make a mistake? Delete something important? Your information has not disappeared. To revert a page to a previous edit:

• Go to the article and click on the History tab.

• Click on the time and date of the version you wish to revert to. You will see the article displayed in one of its previous incarnations.

• Now choose the edit tab. You'll get a warning above the edit box that you are about to edit an out of date revision.

• Ignore the warning and save the page.

• Add the word revert to the edit summary with a short explanation, if you've got time.
