Bio

A former musician, DJ, and photographer, W.I.Z. has an impressive clutch of pop videos on his showreel, as well as a concert film shot around a live performance by Suede at the Brixton Academy. However, the future promise of his career is most effectively articulated in Weekender, a short film about the band Flowered Up and about the hedonistic side of club and drug culture, which was screened on Channel 4 in Britain.

An uncompromising auteur, W.I.Z. is a master of the sound-bite school of self-promotion and loves to incorporate drug references like "uncut and undiluted imagery" into his conversation when describing his work.

W.I.Z. has also completed videos for The Smashing Pumpkins, Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, The Black Crowes, and Marilyn Manson to name just a few. He has recently completed a short film entitled Baby. It was funded by a grant from the British Film Institute, a prestigious award to achieve.

Baby made its European debut at the Edinburgh International film festival and its US debut at the MVPA Director's Cuts 2000 film festival. In February of 2003 W.I.Z.'s video for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Whatever Happened to my Rock and Roll was named MTV2 Best Video of The Year 2002 by the NME Carling Awards.
