Ramon Bloomberg

Ramon Bloomberg was born in 1971 in Sheffield, England; a quarter Irish and three quarters cosmopolitan Jew. Raised in the outskirts of New York City, he made camera horror films as a teenager between 1986 and 1989. At the age of 18 he wanted to move to France and so tried to learn French by watching French New Wave films. He failed to learn French. His first piece shot on film was a 30-minute short he made in 1998. In 2000 his documentary film "Area K" was purchased and released by television channels and won awards at film festivals around the world. The film had a theatrical release in New York City and was very favourably reviewed by both the Village Voice and the New York Times. He then became an editor, made 3 short films in 2002 and began making music videos in 2004. he made his first commercial in 2006 age 35. Based in Brooklyn and working in the UK, USA, and France he is represented by the following production companies:
